The studio of Tension Tamers is located in the heart of the Jordaan. We have three beautiful spacious rooms with a peaceful atmosphere to relax completely. You can choose from many different treatments like: relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, therapeutic massage, sports massage and pregnancy massage. The treatments last from 30 to 120 minutes. That’s up to you. Do you have any additional wishes or questions? You can mention it while booking or discuss it prior to your session with your therapist.
Bodywork with Michiel
We’ve added a special treatment to our offering; Transformational Bodywork given by Michiel. It is more than just a massage; it's a holistic journey towards healing and self-discovery. At Tension Tamers, we've crafted a unique approach that combines the art of deep tissue massage, Chi Nei Tsang, Thai stretches, and a touch of magic. But that's not all! We integrate breathwork, yoga, visualizations, and constellations to provide you with a complete mind-body experience.
Massage at home
Would you like to enjoy a wonderful massage from Tension Tamers at home? That’s possible! If you live in Amsterdam, we can also come to you. With a massage at home, you can relax in your own space and avoid traveling through the busy city. For locations inside the Amsterdam ring, we charge €129,50 per hour. Locations outside the ring are on request. Call us for more information and to book your appointment. A massage at home cannot be booked online.
Online massage course
A few times a year we offer an online massage course. After 4 classes of 2 hours each, you’ll know how to give your partner a full body massage. You will learn different massage techniques from different disciplines. We pay attention to your posture, alternating techniques, finding flow, using the right pressure and how to use your breath. We illustrate everything with the necessary theory. But you mainly get to work practically! You can participate with your partner from home. You will receive a package before the training.
